hey, I'm entering a big city university next year. I haven't bought new clothes in like 14 months, but when I go shopping, I tend to go over the top and buy a lot. I need to revamp my wardrope for university this year, and am curious as to what look to have for school.

I'll be hanging out with the drama students/political science students, cause those are the classes I'll get most "into". Should I invest in more preppy clothes, like button up shirts, designer jeans, blazers....

Is it true you are suppose to wear hoddies alot and not shower in university?

Lastly, what would be the best wardrobe to get laid (with women) immediately and regularily?

Thanks in advance for any answers, and please disregard the last question as a joke, I'm not really into degrating women that often, it just kinda slipped...

At my University we just dress casual. I would visit your University and see how people are dressed, if the university you are going to attend is far away then maybe you visit a closer one. Students do not normally dress up or anything. Good Luck and study well:)

Please don't wear hoodies and do shower; you do not want to look like a creep, because you are not likely to ever get laid!

I've worked at universities in three major cities, and I see a huge range in what my students wear. Part of being in a city is that a lot of students are doing other things, like working or doing internships, after class, so people are dressing for more than just class. I've seen everything from shorts and a wet towel (the water polo team right after practice) to button-down shirts and ties (students either coming from or going to work) in class. If the city is Boston, preppy may work, but it wouldn't work so well in San Francisco; I've never seen a student wear a blazer on campus.

Some students wear hoodies a lot, but my guess would be that if you really want to get laid, not showering won't cut it!

If I were you, I would buy a basic set of clothes, then bring the rest of the money with me. You will get a sense once you are on campus of what people are wearing, and since you will be in a city, you will be able to find what you need once you're there. You really don't want to buy a huge wardrobe, then find that none of it is really right for the crowd you are hanging with.

I'd say to wear whatever you feel most comfortable in. This includes wearing hoodies (I have one that I absolutely love). Chances are that you're going to be hiking across campus for at least one class during the week, sitting through hour (or possibly) lectures each week, as well as spending a lot of time in the classroom. The students at the university I went to and from what I've observed at the university here wear very casual clothes for the most part. The only exception is if they're working/interning, or doing "in the feild" courses (such as student teaching) where they are required to look more professional.

I wish I had money to re-vamp my wardrobe....

Wear something comfortable while in university, you are mostly sitting and listening to lectures, you don't want to be uncomfortable with your clothes, while trying to learn form your lecturer. Wear casual, stylish clothes that suit in what you are studying. check out the graduates who already past your course, see what they are wearing when going to work. It is all about appearance in the end, how you think and look with your professional career. Choose clothes that suit your personality.
