1. Turn on computer by Holding down power button while pressing the ESC key.
The machine will beep, then display:
Check System, then press [F1] key.
2. Release ESC key
3. Press F1 key

No problem whether you cannot remember the shortcut. Start the computer and press F2 and Delete repeatedly. It will work. Because some MB BIOS works on F2 and some on Delete.

Doesn't matter what operating system you have.
Each manufacturer has its own shortcut keys. On recent Dell models it's F2.
If you don't have the owner's manual, look on the manufacturer's web site.

You did no longer let us know what type of pc you utilize? diverse motherboards use diverse BIOSes. listed under are some consumer-friendly key combos to get into the Setup application: F1, F2, F10, Del, Esc, Ctrl+Alt+enter, Ctrl+Alt+Esc, Ctrl+Esc, Alt+Esc, Ctrl+Alt+S, Insert. If none of those artwork, you will ought to let us know what type of pc you're using. Or seek google for the type selection and BIOS.

Look up your computer model / motherboard model on google and find out its bios key
usually its F1 or Delete

that has nothing to do with xp. it depends on your computer manufacturer. it's usually either the escape key or f2. it should flash it real quick when you first turn it on it's the screen with your computers logo on it (dell, gateway, toshiba, etc) before the xp logo shows up.
