I think it may cause many catatrphies !?! I feel the the Earth has a much better chance of staying in an eliptical orbit around our solar~systems star !! that we call our SUN!! . The oval shaped orbit that it's in,'Gives a better chance that it just may stay that way forever !?! .,. Now if it was a different shape could also cause which`ever other objects to have a strange magnetic pull on the Earth !! & possibly having that odd pull to tug on us/the Earth in such a way that if a large object was to smash into the Earth may knock us off the planets !! into a nearly never`ending descention into moons, planets & possibly dangerously close to a sun like star !! ending it all !!?!!
