Iran-Contra Special Prosecutor Walsh about Bush Sr pardoning 4 convicted Iran-Contra felony criminals and Defense Secretary Weinberger, who never even went to trial.:

"It's hard to see how pardoning your former enemy justifies pardoning your former colleagues -- and possible co-conspirators... Not only did he [Bush] pardon his political allies, he pardoned them for illegal activities in which he himself may have been implicated."

Isn't that what Bush's pardon of Libby is about?

George Bush has pardoned or commuted only 4 people in his 6 years in office. Slick Willy was the all time king of pardons, with hundreds. He has the guts to question Bush's commuting Libby's sentence. Same old Clinton. Or should I say Clinton's.

No not even. According to the investigation the individual named responsible for the non crime of "outing Plame" was not indicted. Armitage got away with it. Tho in truth the person that should have been indicted was Joe Wilson, whoever knew him knew his wife worked at CIA. As far as Iran/Contra is concerned there was nothing illegal about it. We wanted to supply the Anti communist rebels and the pro-communists Democrats didn't want to.

"It's great to be king!"

Some people are under the impression that since the underlying crime was not prosecuted, they should not have tried Libby. Scooter impeded the investigation by lying about it, which is a crime in and of itself, namely, "obstruction of justice".
