Never count them out.
Indians aren't able to hold up much longer, and everyone remembers the blazin' Twins in the second half.

Sabathia is fatter than ever and has thrown the most innings before the all star break of his career. The most innings by far. He's only thrown 200 innnings in a season once because he keeps hurting his fat. Well he has more fat than ever, which just means there's more of it to hurt. When-not if, when-he goes down Cleveland is done.
Detroit can lock up the division if Kenny Rogers pitches well until the end of the season. This is his 19th season in MLB. Before last season Kenny Rogers did one of three things after the trade deadline-he walked a picket line during the strike, he was hurt three times, and 13 times he sucked. He sucked really bad-since you asked about the Twins you might remember Rogers sucking for them just a few years ago. Usually Rogers wasn't all that picky about sucking after the break and would suck before it too. I don't think many people become great athletes when they're 42, and I don't think he did either.
The division should go to whoever does the most to get better by the trade deadline-not because the dealine is important but because whatever changes are made will need time to have an effect, but no matter what I think Sabathia is too important to Cleveland for them to do anything after he goes on the DL with a buffet injury, unless it's not long after the break and they put a lot of prospects up for grabs to get 2 above average starters.

I think the Twins will pass one of the two, but not both of them. The Twins will need to start winning head-to-head match-ups with the Tigers and Indians to have a shot at catching them. The Tigers series last week where they won two out of three on the road is a good start.
Personally, I pick Cleveland to win the AL Central and the Twins to be the Wild Card.

Well after scoring 30+ runs to day(in 2 games), it is early to count them out. The Twins are a second have team, like my Braves, and are about where they want to be at the break.
The Tigers my be the best Off in the league right now, but they will hit a slump, everybody does at some point. And the Tigers bullpen is crappy.
I have not watched any of the Indians, well because the Indains have a history of folding the second half of the year.

The Twins have a chance to catch Cleveland, but I don't see them catching Detroit. Detroit's starting pitching is just too deep and their offense is better than you think.
Cleveland may have a little more offense than Minnesota, but I like the Twins' pitching better. Obviously, if the Twins are going to make a run at the Wild Card, Santana has to be dominant in the second half, and Morneau, Mauer, and Hunter have to stay healthy and productive. The Twins also have experience on their side. I am still not a believer in Cleveland so I would say the Twins definitely have a chance to catch them.

No I do not think so. Just because they beat up on the White Sox doesn't mean they will surpass the Tigers or the Indians, those teams are much better. Just think about it how hard is it to beat the White Sox this year??? Come on that doesn't mean they are gonna go crazy and score that many runs against another team and win the Division and Wild Card. It just means they beat up a team that's been bad since day one.

I believe the Twins are a cut below both the Indians and the Tigers. Something unexpected would have to happen for the Twins to make the playoffs this year.

If you look at the past the twins are a second half baseball team. Wait till after the break. After todays Whooping of the White Sox and Morneau's 3 Hr's, I think they definitely have a chance. They are a good season playing team but come playoffs they all **** the bed. GO TWINS!!!

If they could play the White Sox every game for the rest of they year, they would have the pennant clinched by August first.
