Here's a thought: Imagine your wife so hot and turned on by the other guy... then realizing that you don't make her that hot... then every night when you lay down next to her, seeing her with the other guy... when you make love with her and she closes her eyes, is she wishing it was him instead of you...
Then imagine the look in her eyes when she thinks the same thoughts about you...
Then imagine your relationship as the jealousy starts to take over...

Are you Christian? If so, I promise you that this will destroy your marriage. You will realize all sorts of inner conflicts that you have not considered and they will cause you to put up walls and never be able to give yourself fully to your spouse, especially once you see how aroused they are by someone else. Realize you live in a world where sex addiction can become worse than a drug, and like a baby whose mother did drugs while in the womb, you are an addict before you realize what even happened to you. Case in point: countless failed relationships, ever-increasing divorce, lustfully arousing images everywhere you turn: you live in a sexually starved world. Marriage: two becoming one (not three or more) in a covenant before God. In such a marriage, sex has its place and intimacy is never to be polluted.
If you do not believe in God, go for it - have the threesome. It won't satisfy you permanently, as those desires for others will surface until the day you die or until you realize that lusts works like this: the more you eat the hungrier you get. You cannot quench it by giving into it - the threesome will not satisfy you in the long run and it will blossom into many other perversions. You wil lneed it again and again. Ultimately, unless you become heart-calloused swingers, you will end up divorced for some petty reason just like most everybody else anyway!
God Bless.
Edit: Mi_G, I am just suggesting that if he is a genuine Christian than he should know never to even consider this as a means to enhance some element of his marriage for the reasons I (and Wildflower, among others) have given. Further, if he is not a Christian, then I would be willing to bet than his marriage will have a higher chance of ending in divorce no matter what they should choose anyway - so enjoy the threesome. Finally, back off the name calling. This site is opinion based and we are all just trying to help. Besides, if I were in front of your face I would be willing to bet you would conduct yourself in a very kind, cordial, and respectable manner toward me.

It amazes me how married couples are thinking
of a third party to get involved in their life. If you
want to be married happily, then stay two. However
if your marriage means nothing then get three or
four or five, it really doesn't matter as you will wind
up single anyway. Read the statistics and then you
will know what I mean.

I did it when I was single. It was okay, not as fun as fantasizing about it. Sometimes that's just the way life works out, then again, it might be tons of fun for you.
As for the emotions involved, I'd be wary. Like I said I was single and I was unattached to both the people involved, so for me it was just a ****, but I couldn't imagine doing this with my husband! Just make sure you're aware of yourself and your spouse.

If you go through with it one of two things will happen. You will discover you are not completely happy in your marriage or your spouse will. Either way it is a road that will only lead to separation. If you are that unsatisfied with your current intimate relations then you should sit down with your spouse and have a serious discussion as to why. Intimacy is a vital part of a happy marriage. Don't destroy your marriage just to fulfill a fantasy.

I advise MFM the first, but in fact, this depends on that male or female friend is available first.
