...Why do they praise the commutation of LIbby's sentence ? He was found guilty of multiple felonies under a court of law, by a jury of his peers ? I thought you guys considered that the word of G_d himself ?

And before you go ducking the question and clamoring about Sandy, he FOLLOWED THE JUDICIAL PROCESS and plead out to misdeameanors. He went with the system. Libby thought he was above it, and was torched for it.

The rule of law only matters when it applies to the other guy's man.

you ask this question as though Libby was the only person ever to receive special consideration in his crimes! and you call conservatives mindless? you my friend need to do a little research and find out how many countless times that crimes much worse than Libby's have not only had the sentence commuted but have been totally pardoned altogether. don't be so ignorant and naive to think that you can sway opinions by acting like Libby got special treatment.

It's the matter not so much the commutation.
Scooter lied about and covered up the people who were instrumental in revealing the identity of a covert CIA operative.
Ok, Armitage revealed the name to Robert Novak but the initial revealing of her identity was before Novaks article was published.
The matter was about the crime of revealing the identity of a covert CIA operative.
The conservative right wingers like to compare the commutation to any other commutation but the matter is very important and could easily put the country at strategic risk and also put peoples lives at risk who have now been known to have dealings with Plame in other countries.

Someone feel free to correct me with some research but I don't believe Plame was covert at all or at least she was not at the time of "unveiling". Therefore, there was no crime charged for revealing a covert operative . Not to mention her handwritten note recommending her hubby for a post that she knew nothing about.

I dont believe I've seen Ms. Plame shrinking away from photo ops in magazines or the press. I certainly think she should being she is a high-up covert operative.

Berger, as part of his plea agreement, consented to take a polygraph. He has not yet done so. The defense attorneys produced a hand written memo from Plame that stated she recommended her husband for the Nigerian trip. She stated under oath she never recommended him. So then by your premise Plame should be charged with perjury.

Under "the rule of law" Bush has the right to commute Libby's sentence. We agree with his decision to use that right. What can't you understand about that?

I'm a conservative. I'm not mindless. And I think all Presidential pardons are bogus. Ws are just as bogus as Billy Jeff's 400 some odd.

Not neccessary to use the word mindless right there.

It distracts the essence of your question.
