I am very nasty looking. I wear biker style clothes because of the work I do.
Not being very good looking I sometimes intimidate people, because my face looks mean I am told. but if I lift my eyebrows up the say I look psychotic.
I have been made cold by society in general and I can tell people don't like to talk to me at first.
My mean side has no patience for stupidity or tolerance for ignorant people.
I actually like : The Opera, and The Symphony. I like Classical music and a well written Play.
I love dogs and cats, Babies and Children. and I like to go out and play in the sandbox and teach them all the fun I know!
I don't drink or do drugs. My appearance would say I like Harley's and Monster Trucks, that would be true also.
But because of my Appearance I am forced more with the Harley's and Monster Trucks, rather than being able to enjoy, The Phantom Of the Opera, Or Les Mis' with the one I love.

I'm stereotyped as a punk.
Same- Spikey hair, music tshirts, love the music
Different- most of my friends are not punks, I actually dont think I have 1 single "punk" friend. I'm friends with stoners, preps, and average kids. I've never been to a show, which is unheard of amongst the punk crowd. Also I don't shout "I'm STRAIGHT EDGE xCORE" at the top of my lungs to anyone that will listen because I feel it is just a cry for attention. Oh, and I have a tan lol.
Theres a bunch of other stuff, but whatever.

people assume that since i am the only black girl or person in my entire middle school that i would be suffering from a few different things. Some people assume that since i am different from everyone that i would be a loner or angry. some people would assume that i try extra hard to be accepted and be as close to normal as possible. some people think that i am completely settled into my enviroment and don't realize how much different i am anymore.
honestly, i am out there trying to break nearly stereotype about me. i was the student body president, a member of the national junior honor society, i got 2nd place at a regional speech contest, and completely aware of how i am different, but how i am just like everybody else in different ways.
but i do follow the stereotype of being able to jump really high and being able to run really fast. :)

I have a very deep southern accent so, automatically, people think that I am just this big, dumb redneck. I am pretty well educated and, can speak just fine, without the accent but, to Me, changing the way You speak or, other very personal things about Yourself, is like You are ashamed of where You come from or, Who You are. How am I the same? although I have been to a lot of places and, seen a lot of things, I am still just a guy from a medium sized city in, NORTH CAROLINA and, am very friendly, down to earth and, easy to talk to.

I have been called goth, prep, emo, punk, rock, redneck and a bunch of other things and as far as goth I like black and I have some stuff from hot topic, but I'm too happy and like pink way to much to be gothic. As far as prep yes my hair has to be perfect when I'm going some where, but I don't wear make up at all. Emo yes at one point I was depressed, but I'm normally a very happy, go lucky, hyper person and I would never cut myself. Redneck, hells yeah I can act like one I grew up with them and I love horses, but seriously I don't go by labels. I also get called mute because I'm quiet a lot, but yes I'm shy but I'm not mute, haha.

people think that just because I'm an international student, I can't speak English. Surprise surprise, my English is just as good, or even better, than the average person.
Same in the way that yes, my views are more conservative because of my upbringing. Not that I am not open-minded, just that there are some things I don't care for that many find normal.

i think of you have replied your guy or woman question. a lot of human beings in basic terms desire to belong, no count if useful or destructive. inspite of the incontrovertible fact that very simplistic; going lower back to the 'cavemen' - being in communities makes us much less in threat of predators. It additionally facilitates picking a mate...i be conscious of it sounds great lame yet i think of it particularly works further immediately. quite than being thoroughly on my own we group. As for 'emos' 'goths' etc. i think of that has plenty to do with needing an id as an adolescent on an identical time as nevertheless conforming to the social communities.

lets see. once i was on a plain and the stuartest(black male) kept hitting on me. Oh, i'm mexican by the way. i was listening to my head phones and he came to me and asked if he can take a listen. so i said sure. he listened for a second and was like wow what are you listening to? i thought you were listening to like salsa or some sweet dance music. i told him i am listening to TOOL and salsa dance is not my thing.
i often get a lot of hispanics or homies hitting on me when they are not my type at all. i like white guys. and the funny thing is i'm married to a white guy but he is half ecuadorian and you would never know if you saw it.

I'm "emo". I'm the same because I HAD and addiction to self injury, but other wise I really don't fit the stereotype. I like bright colors, and listen to a WHOLE VARIETY of music! I'm not depressed and I don't want to commit suicide.
