I have two boys; a 3 year old and a 1 year old. And I would like to have at least 3 more kids... I know call me Crazy! My husband on the other hand is satisfied with our two boys, but has agreed on one more. I am praying for a little girl. Because if this is my last chance I would like to balance out the testostrone levels out in our house. Is there a trick to having a girl? Better yet since this is my last chance to have any more babies...is there a trick or method of having twins? I heard that eating Yams helps. I've also heard that being older increases your chances of having twins, I'm only 23 though so I need other options!! Thanks!!

well for me i had two girls, then got pregnant with fraternal twin girls.
for me it helped that it runs in my family.
really i think fertility treatments is the only way to really increase your chance of twins.
if it doesn't run in your family your chances are not very high.

I don't know where some of these people get thier information, but no-- you can't TRY to have twins except to maybe get the sperm artificially planted. it can still be your eggs and your husbands' sperm, but i'm not sure if they'll let you since you don't have a problem getting pregnant. as for having any particular gender-- unless you're going to have a scientist pick out which DNA to submit to your body, there is not trick there either. The MALE chooses the sex of the baby... and there is no sperm that swims faster than the other... plus it takes like 3 days for the sperm to reach the egg any way. And twins-- one type runs through families (I'm almost sure on the mother's side) and the other type (identical) are completely accidental and develop when two sperm reach the egg at the exact same time.

There is no trick to having a girl, but if you increase the amount of dairy you eat and drink, you may have a 5 times better chance of having fraternal twins. This is due to the hormones in dairy. Good luck!

Unless you take fertility drugs that cause you to ovulate with more than one egg or unless they run in your family you are probably out of luck. There aren't any tricks to it. The chances of having twins for a woman who doesn't have them in her family history or isn't taking fertility drugs is very very low. Sorry.

The Shettles Method increases your probability of having one gender over another. No guarantee though. The yams have to be African yams, and they aren't widely sold in this country (pretty much, only where you have a high immigrant population).

No trick for having twins, only medications they give you to help you ovulate, which you don't need, and don't want, trust me!! As far as having a girl. Have sex BEFORE (1- 2 days ) ovulation. Two is better but harder to predict. You see girl sperm live longer. If you have sex AFTER you ovulate, you are more likely to have a boy, because male sperm swim faster. Hope this helps.

you can choose the gender of the baby, at certain envitro fertilization places. and you can get implanted with 2 or 3 eggs, that are all female.
