I just downloaded it and tried to remove it from my Add/Remove programs in my control panel and it wouldnt let me

Yes Avast is a very reputable anti virus program. I am sure you will here plenty of opinions in favor of every Anti virus program ever made but I personally prefer AVG Anti virus.

If you're having problems unistalling something, I always like to reinstall and then try and uninstall the program. Sometimes things get corrupted and the uninstall process just has problems.

everyone will have thier own opinion but i think avast is the very best free anti virus available, if you just installed it why are you uninstalling it ?

it's an okay program...i persoanlly perfer Norton. but to uninstall i would go into programs and delete all the avast files if you can't do it in add/remove
