well one summer we were outside playing with our cat (who's name was(GIZMO ) he was a wonderful cat, anyway he enjoyed playing baseball with our children, he would sit at the pitchers mound & wait for the batter to hit the ball, when that happened he would either jump up to stop the ball or else if it was a ground ball he would run after it to stop the ball for the younger kids he was so much fun to watch. Untill ,,,, a drunk driver ran over him never stopped "of course" we took him to the vet. they couldn't do anything to save him. To this day I can't get myself to try and love another cat like him. That was the saddest thing that happened to our family exspecialy me because he was the first cat I dearly loved

There is more then 1 thing. But the most thing would be my grandpa who has passed away. He was like my dad.
Also my husband's aunt she had 6 girls and now she has only 4. She has experienced 2 of her girls died. And had them buried 6 feet under! Just the sight of her sadness on her face is deeply sad! I can't imagine what she is going threw. Her 1st daughter died in 1998 and her 2nd one just got killed on 5/27/07 !!! Both from car accidents.

Well, it's a tie for me.
When my Abuelo died exactly two months before I graduated high school.
My great-grandmother has a severe case of ALzheimer's and, after 64 years of marriage, was recently put in a nursing home and has to spend the rest of her life away from her husband.
Yikes, my life sounds depressing!

Losing both of my parents within a year and a half of each other. I was 12 when my dad died on the day after Christmas, and 14 when my mom died on her birthday, and year and a half later.

wow. I feel like my whole life has been sad. And I have been through so much in my life. So what has been the sadest? When my sister got AIDs. Its never going to be the same. And it has changed my life forever.

My father died a few years ago from cancer. I never got the chance to know him very well. He was always away.
Also, during the same time, my first wife kicked me to the curb.
