I'm not sure what state you live in but in the state that I live in, it is illegal to buy tobacco for a minor and if you do and get caught you will be arrested. I work at a drugstore that sells cigarettes and if we suspect that someone is buying cigarettes for a minor then we can't sell them to that person regardless of the purchaser's age. You also have to think..again I don't know where you live, the person may be undercover for the cops..that also happens in our area....the cops can arrest you for buying for the minor. It's not worth the risk regardless of whether or not you know the 15 year old. If you do know the person and it's not just some random teen it will probably become a habit for them to ask you to do this for them...do you want to have that on your mind all the time.

No because not only can you goto jail and it is breaking the law, but it is harming that childs life. Also, i have a under age friend that goes around to places that sell tobacco and alcohol and tells the customers they will give them the money if they will by the stuff and the people that do it get in trouble because he is working for the police who are around somewhere "undercover".

No, I wouldn't because first of all that is wrong. No 15 year old should need cigarettes, and to help them with their addiction is in my book, just as bad as smoking.
Second, that IS a crime punishable by law, so it wouldn't be a smart move to do that.

BTW, if you're the 15 year old, that's not really smart at all, as the adult could report you.

Not a chance. It is just as illegal as you buying them yourself. The adult can face fines and even jail time. The same for the store employee, if they are aware or saw the money change hands, they face the same penalties if caught. I used to manage a convenience store and I can tell you that the police DO set up clerks like that. We received letters on more than one occasion about our employees having refused a set-up sale.

no-- what factors are you weighing. what makes you want to and what makes you not want to? For me, its an easy choice-- I would want to b/c I like to "help" people and they would get them from someone else any way... BUT i don't agree with smoking (at all), nor do i think 15 year olds have the ability to make such decisions to smoke b/c their brains lack connections in the area of consequences, so they are unable to truly understand what they're getting into... also, it is illegal to provide for underage smokers, and thirdly, I don't want it weighing on my conscious.

Nope. If you're not old enough to buy it, then yo udon't need it. I'd tell them to find someone else willing to get in trouble for buying tobacco for a minor.
