Hi, I am 18 and trying to look for a motel to stay for a week or so in San Diego during this visit. I was wondering if anyone kno any cheap weekly deal for the motels or any places that is cheap to stay at. Thank you.

If you are wanting really really cheap, here is a link to single room occupancy hotels in San Diego. Most have weekly rates. Some are real dumps (the ones that rent mostly to social security recipients) but others (that cater more to tourists) are more tollerable. You'd have to call and use the internet to determine what will fill your need. (For instance, if you are gay/lesbian, Studio 819 in Hillcrest would work.)

The Gaslamp Quarter area might be your best bet as they are in a really fun area (near restaurants, bars, and the baseball stadium) and near the trolley line. The Gaslamp area streets are usually "number" streets (4th, 5th Ave. probably the best area) or "letter" streets (like E, F, G, K,etc).

I'd avoid El Cajon Blvd.
