The simple answer is no. Sorry, to run SLI you need two cards in the same family and generation. You do not need, however (and is misunderstood by the masses) two identical video cards with the latest Nvidia drivers.

So for example, SLI will work with:\

Identical 512MB 8800GTSs
256MB and 512MB6800GTs

EVGA 7900GT running at 430Mhz and BFG 7900GT running at 375Mhz (clock rates are example only)

What WONT work
7900GT and 8800 GTS
6600 and 6800GT

ATI's Crossfire solution will allow you to use any combination of a Crossfire host card and a Crossfire ready card, allowing you to span generation lines.

No you cant. To SLI they dont have to be identical cards but they do need to have the same GPU (graphics proccessing unit) That means they can be different brand with different frame buffering( put the larger in the first slot) as long as they are from the same series. The 7900 series will not work with dx10 .It will work with Vista but only on dx9 games.

No. It simply won't work.
To set up SLi optimally they should be IDENTICAL cards.
It may work using two cards with the same chipset. When you get those intermittent, pesky errors, or DX crashes once in a while, you'll know why you should have used two IDENTICAL cards.

NO. . . .yo can only SLI cards of the same GPU, like 7900gs+7900gs. speeds don't matter and different makers don't matter.
