The bio wheel is better because they have two different types of bacteria, which are beneficial. They last longer & they don't require changing as often.

Wheel,because you can buy frames to hold your own filter media.
I tried the bio-bag and was constantly replacing or trying to clean the bag.
I personally prefer the good old reliable Aqua-clears for ease of maintenance and versitility.

Depends on who you ask. I've been to several seminars, and they all claim that their product is the best. Haggen, Rena, Marineland, they all say the same thing. The main thing is to not overload your system when you first set it up. Get a bigger filter than what the box says, and do your waterchanges as necessary.
