usually ignore.. Just don't want a collection of people just to collect.. If i do add, I need to see a profile with info. I have deleted most of mine so I don't get fans as much as I used to.

If I know who the person is, I add the person back. If I don't know the person, I wait a little while and then add them later.

I add them, but not before reading their profile. I am not really sure why I read their profiles, because I have added everyone who ever connected to me, except one.

I add them, I feel like its "repaying the favor." Unless someone like $mitty added me, then I would definitely ignore! No explanation needed.

I check them out a bit. Check some of their old questions, check out a sampling of their answers. But most, if not all, get added right back. It just seems rude not to.

I check to see if we have friends in common, or perhaps answers in common. Something that connects us in some way.
