"The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" by Gordon Lightfoot, circa 1973?, I'm not sure. It is a song based on a true shipwreck on Lake Superior. I don't know why but shipwrecks and people drowning have always depressed me.
My dad was killed in an airplane crash and I don't have the same reaction to plane crashes as I do to shipwrecks. I love flying in planes and sometimes think I should have tried to be a pilot. Not sure what's up w/ that.
Prob. more info than u wanted - sorry.

"The Greatest Man I Never Knew" by Dolly Parton. I swear whomever wrote that song knew my dad. I have a very difficult time listening to that song in it's entirety when it comes on the radio. "Angel" by Sara McLaughlin is another one. It reminds me of my mom right before she passed on, in a round about way. Have a wonderful weekend! Annie
