Ok...so you've never heard a Radiohead song before.
Understandable, your probably like 12 and Radiohead hates interviews, publicity, all that.
But now you don't have excuse to actually listen to good music.

But this isn't actually about showing how shi*tty My Chemical Romance is, although obviously that was going to happen.
Radiohead barely gets mentioned on here and I just really love them. A lot.

These *Something fantastic* vs My Chemical Romance questions are getting incredibly old. The percentage of questions relating to My Chemical Romance is way too high, and most of those are coming from people who hate the band anyway.
Yes, I would choose Radiohead, because I love their sound and they obviously have had a big impact on music, but if it really is 12 year olds who are listening to MCR, then why not let them enjoy themselves, they'll discover Radiohead, and maybe classic rock, in a few years, like I did. I know some people my age (19) who do love MCR and don't enjoy Radiohead, but these are my friends and I feel no need to bash them, or strangers, for their taste in music- and you have to admit that this thread is an excuse to do just that. And besides, some people like both. I don't like MCR that much, but I think they get attacked mostly because they've gotten popular- if they were unknown, you wouldn't care so much. I can appreciate one or two songs which I originally hated/didn't understand, but they grew on me- actually, not unlike my first reaction to Radiohead. MCR is much less mindless than blink-182 was a while back, or simple plan is now. There's worse out there.
Edit: Ok, I understand you want to ask a question about Radiohead, which I agree is not mentioned enough considering it's impact. And it makes some sense, asking a question and putting MCR in the title will get the MCR fans to look at it, and maybe find out about Radiohead- but by making it an "us versus them" question, the MCR fans become defensive, the Radiohead fans become bashers, and no one gets anything out of it. If you want to introduce it to them, please make a less agressive question. If you just want to discuss it with current fans, please write a question like "What is your favorite Radiohead song/album, and why?" Of course, this is entirely up to members of the board, to raise the level of discussion, and move beyond simple bashing.

It was obvious that you're just looking for a reason to show your hate towards MCR, becuase, well, that's what all the other haters do too. I HAVE heard Radiohead's music, and I'm NOT a 12 year old girl. I like MCR better, because people can have their own opinions, and my opinion is that My Chemical Romance is better than Radiohead. I'm just not a fan of Radiohead, and you may think that's retarded, but if you have a problem with it, you're going to have many problems in life, becuase not everyone is going to have the same opinion as you. MCR's music is relatable to people that go through the same problems they went through when they were younger. Obviously you don't have those problems in your life. Everyone saying they suck doesn't change the opinion of fans.
So people can have their own opinion, even if it's not the same as yours! I know it's surprising, but it's very true. Yay, we all learned something today!
And yes I do think this was about "showing how shi*tty My Chemical Romance is." If it wasn't, I doubt you would have posted it in the first place. I don't have a problem with you not liking them, but if you just hate them anyway, it's pointless and a waste of your time to post a question about them.

This isn't even a debate. My Chemical Romance is one of the worst bands of all time. Their music sucks, their name is more of a marketing ploy for Generation Y losers who know squat about rock. Welcome to the Black Parade will go down on my top ten list of worst songs from the past 20 years and that is a hard achievement. I listen to a lot of stations that play their music so it's not like I am biased against the genre. Radiohead has had an amazing career, they need no introduction nor defense. I highly doubt these MCR fans can even name one song from R.

radiohead has stood the test of time
radiohead projects to mature music fans of all ages

Of course, My Chemical Romance fans will flock here and vote for the latter, because they can't reason as they don't know good music.
Radiohead has drawn influences from classical, jazz and electronic music. They are artistic and experimental when it comes to composing music, and has topical based lyrics.
My Chemical Romance on the other hand, has no substance at all. Their music is nothing worth appreciating or innovative, and is monotonous. Their lyrics are highly unintelligent, and is output by someone who can't even sing. My Chemical Romance makes music for daft masses, so they can greedily achieve millions and millions of dollars. Their musicianship is utterly weak, Radiohead crushes this so-called excuse for a band anyday.

My Chemical Romance rocks and just because you dont like them doesnt mean you have to dis them.
And MCR fans can read otherwise why would I be answering this if I dont know what it says? I've never even heard of radiohead before but I will make sure I listen out for them coz it seems alot of people like them.
Giving people thumbs down coz they said MCR is sad. MCR fans have way more respect for people than radiohead fans. watch this I will prob get heaps of sh*t or the scary 'thumbs down' for this.

The answer is clear for me...
It's radiohead all the way
The lyrics in radiohead songs have overall a better feel to it for me...
Mcr is more just for kids/teens (derr i'm a teen but still radiohead is by far a lot better lyric wise)
And personally, I like the vocals in radiohead a LOT more. :]
seems like blind mcr fans have no reason behind their choice...
edit: and...if you must choose one band make sure you KNOW radiohead, jeez...
