Only if i'm trying really hard to push it out, otherwise my eyes are open to see if anybody heard me fart!

Why would you close your eyes? Are your farts visible? Or do you have to push so hard that your eyes shut? Or do they smell so bad that your eyes pop out wide open?

I keep em wide open!
Of course, I sometimes have to shut them for a couple of minutes AFTER the tragic event!
