Football

It's all a matter of opinion, most Americans that get into sports dig football because it's what they get exposed to an aweful lot. There's nothing wrong with that, I'm one of them, I prefer American football. I was exposed to soccer at a young age, but I never saw in on TV much like baseball or football.

There is no world series, NCAA finals or superbowl kind of hype for a soccer league championship here. Evidently things are different in Europe and most parts of the world, I have no problem with that as long as people at least respect what I like.

Sam D, the NFL deeming it's championship team as the "world champions" operates under the same origional train of thought that major league baseball does of deeming it's "world champion" in the world series. Obviously for it's sport it is believed that the NFL ammasses the best talent that has shown interest in the sport in the US and around the world (as not all of it's past or current players are US born citizens) much like major league baseball.

Perhaps baseball has a ton more foreign born players, but Samkon Gado, born in Africa plays in for Houston. Lawrence Tines, kicker for Kansas City, born in Scotland. The Falcons just signed a player from Japan. Last year there where European players trying out for the Redskins, and a German NFL Europe player practiced with the Ravens last season.

While the NFL may be 99 percent consistant of natural born Americans, it just might be a bit more 'worldly' than you think.

Football. I hate how soccer players barely get touched and yet they fall over like they just broke every bone in their body. In order to be a successful football player you require more skills than a soccer player. Also, football requires 11 guys working together and all doing their jobs at the same time to be successful. In soccer you only have part of the team involved on a play.

Its just a matter of opinion, but I have to go with football. I played soccer all the way through high school. I loved playing the game but I never liked watching it. Not like watching Football. I do like watching the men or women’s world cup but that’s about it. I live in Dallas, Texas and I couldn’t even tell you where FC Dallas play’s.

It depends on the person, but I personally like football better. I am playing indoor soccer this winter, though. That'll be interesting. I've never played before and have really only watched during the World Cup.
