The cardinals problem is that they cant play well consistently, i mean we sweep the d-backs, which is one of the better teams in the NL but then lose to the Giants, which should be in like an old man's slow-pitch softball game cuz they r that old. It is just frustrating to watch them play cuz u know that if they can get back to .500 before the break , LaRussa will make a solid run at the division. The only team that will give them competition in the division will be the brewers cuz they have enough young talent and sum vets. The Cubs will slide out of contention with like a month or 2 out of contention cuz they r the biggest chokers and losers in any sport. I think they r still in contention for a solid playoff run.

Had you asked me before tonights game of horrible outfield defense, I would have said maybe they were coming around.
If they can hang around until we get Carpenter and Mulder and Edmonds and Eckstein back, maybe we can make a run.
I am not convinced the Brewers have a lock on the division, though the Cardinals and Cubs both have work to do to catch them.
But I think the Cardinals are awesome and they have, sadly or not, been a major part of my life.

they are not the same as last years cardinals.

I think if Buddy Bell would have used KC's bullpen better, they would have only beat the Royals 1 out of 6 this year. We'll sweep them Cards next season. I am happy that they won me $250 last year in the WS, though.

Good baseball town but a team that needs to scout better and make almost no mistakes when signing players.

Throughout history they have have been one of the most colorful and interesting MLB franchises.
As far as this season goes, what they need most of all is to get healthy and stay that way.
