or are there just some things that should stay a secret?

If it's something that you know your partner will find out about sooner or later, then yes. It could save your relationship. If it's something painful that happened to you when you were younger, and your partner wasn't in your life at the time, then you don't need to share it. Someday the time may feel right, but until then, it isn't that person's place to know.

Take your time and think about it. Follow your heart and you will make the right choice. May the Creator surround you with angels of peace and understanding. Annie

Depends upon the person. Some people are very forgiving or understanding. While others are not. So it really depends on the person and what exactly the secret is. Make darn sure you have a real good idea on how he will react before you decide to take the plunge.

sorry i need to share this story with you.. It was on the news today.. Unbelievable ! A woman had some kind of face altering done due to some awful markings or disfigurments(at birth).. she got married later in life and never mentioned it to her new husband. They had a baby and now the man is sueing the woman because .. your not gonna believe this !!!! because the baby is ugly, the baby looks like she did before she had surgery.. really it was on the news.. makes you wonder if you don't have to tell all or get sued later if you don't..

I think that most people have pasts and in most cases if your talking about your previous sex partners in detail , my question would be why, it serves no purpose except to possible make you mate wonder if they were better then them or maybe wonder if your going to be faithful to them. What is past , should stay there and try building on the commitment you made to one another, not throw a bunch of stuff in there for them to dwell on if your relationship hits one of the bumps life tends to give us.

I THINK IT IS BETTER TO TELL ALL BEFORE YOU GET MARRIED. LATER ON DOWN THE ROAD IF THINGS COME OUT IT COULD CAUSE PROBLEMS BECAUSE YOU NEVER TOLD WHEN YOU KNEW YOU SHOULD HAVE. AND IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT IT THEN YOU SHOULD ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER, THATS ITS NOT RIGHT TO HAVE SECRETS!

I think if your relationship is heading toward marriage and you're planning to spend the rest of your lives together because you are so deeply in love, then yes, you should tell your partner everything.

Never give away all your secrets. You know those will come back and bite you in the butt at some point in the future.
