I would like to find a site that tells you, in simple english, how to set up a web site to sell things?

I want to set up a site where quilt fabric, patterns and kits can be advertised for sale. I have a digital camera to take pictures of the quilts, patterns etc. and can down load them to the site, but don't have any idea how set up a site. We really don't want to go ebay, but stick with quilters. So many of my friend's costumers ask if she has a web site and she always has to say no. Don't have much money to set this up, so any help would be appreciated. Maybe you have to go through a professional who sets up the web site. I don't know, but there has to be a way. Thanks.

I have two websites, one for craft items I make, and one for a service I offer. I just looked at other sites and tried to be better than them. You can usually tell who they use for different services like credit card processing et cetera, so i would just Google til I decided what would work for me and be cost-effective.

I actually started on a freebie Geocities site because you can put stuff on a page without knowing html already, taking only check/mony order, til the money started coming in, then I upgraded to an ad-free host and I accept credit cards now.
