That's what democrats are all about. Big government and more of it involved in your everyday life. It's called the 'Nanny State' and it's getting worse. It's the "We know what's best for you, and will force you to do so" mentality. Democrats are anti personal responsibility and accountability.

Isn't it obvious? Open borders, the fairness doctrine, national health care, immigration bill, global warming and carbon credits and so on. They have always believed that the government can spend your money more wisely than you can - and now they think that the government can dictate your lifestyle and basic needs better.
If we allow it, they will invade every facet of our lives, from the criminal activities of ice cream truck drivers shattering our peace with their noise pollution to mandating their irrational PC policies into law.
Someone should really clue them in as to what the term "priorities" means - perhaps then they would concentrate on real concerns that presently face this nation. When these geniuses have solved all of the major issues, then they could get down to the real work of, perhaps, demanding equal and opposing bumper stickers be displayed next to offensive bumper stickers or maybe adding a value added tax when you get a haircut or manicure.

Okay, so this must have been a problem, that the citizens had issue with. That legislation was passed by republicans and democrats and signed into law by a republican mayor.
Nowhere in this article does it say a democrat was solely responsible for this law.
And I don't believe that the Dem's. want to control our lives in the same way that repubs. do. such as reproductive rights, privacy rights, habeas corpus, overturning jury decisions, restricting the right to sue large wrong doing corporations,
There has been a noise ordinance for 30 years. it was just updated and now being enforced.

Someone told me it was the Republicans. That whole Patriot Act thing. Also something about wiretaps without warrants. Don't forget censoring tv and radio.
