My brother-in-law, we'll call him Bob, is married to my wife's sister, we'll call her Mary. Mary and my wife have another sister, we'll call her Sue. Bob hit on Sue multiple times asking to see her naked, have sex with her, sent perverted text messages, etc. Sue asked Bob to stop and she did nothing to encourage his unwanted advances. The question: should we tell Bob's wife and should we tell Sue's boyfriend?

wow! I wasn't expecting so many answers! thank you to everyone....we (my wife and I) were pretty sure that we would have to tell his wife, but we weren't positive (a small part of us told us to butt out), but you all have solidified our decision and we're taking care of it this weekend...again, thank you.

I don't know about that...... I think step one might be for you and your wife, and whoever else, like Sue, to tell Bob that this is enough. That if he doesn't behave himself, and leave Sue alone, for sure, you are all going to tell Mary.

And if he doesn't take that and listen up, do exactly that.

I think Bob should be told, this is no game and that we will go over his head. If he doesn't cease, then tell Sue that your telling Mary about Bob, her opinion matters in this. Sue's boyfriend doesn't need to be told by ANYONE ELSE besides Sue, not your place. Mary will take care of Bob, and Sue will continue life. Personally, If I was Sue, I wouldn't except any nieces or nephews from Mary and Bob after things I do to him, sorry Mary.

Bobs wife and the police. That shouldn't even be a question. After them you should tell sue's boyfriend. I'd tell all of them.

I would tell Bob's wife, but I wouldn't tell Sue's boyfriend, since if Sue wants her boyfriend to know, she would have told him.

Well before you do make sure to save all the text messages and make sure to tell them and don't back down because knowing your wife's sister she will not believe you without you showing her some prove. But be carefull about telling the bf because if she was my gf and someone told me someone was harassing her I would open a can of whip A*S*S on their A*S*S*. so don't delete nothing and if you can get a recoding and pictues of him doing that go for it and make sure to tell everybody,

H*lllll yeah and since u say shes younger u need to take some form of action tell his wife tell your wife's mother ooh and yes definitely tell the wife's father. Basically get all the men you know in your family to deal with it ( without violence of course). But please do end this right now!

Tell Bob to eff off.. no really, and threaten to call the police-- he'll get the picture. Or get all of the people on your side in a room with you and have Bob come in there and have all of you confront him at once.

OF COURSE.. that is just wrong, you should help by telling bob's wife and Sue's boyfriend to clear this problem up.or else it could lead to serious consequences.

Tell both of them...they deserve to know. Maybe Sue's boyfriend will scare Bob off....and maybe Mary will tell her husband to piss off for his behavior!
