I have been looking for a good coin collecting freeware program but instead I keep finding very expensive software programs or free thirty day trials. Do you know of any good freeware programs that I can download (preferably with pictures and not a demo)?

The only real solution is to make your own with excel spread sheet. Or you can create a nice data base with Microsoft Access, but that is expensive if you do not own the program.

Sorry but I think you are looking for a lost cause. Must software programs that deal with coin collecting has to do a lot and the people want to get paid for their work. Some programs for say U.S. coins are only $59 which is not to bad, there may be one for $39.95, I think I saw an add in one of the coin papers. I collect such a wide variety of coins I had to go or the $99.95 plus shipping Exact Change. It come on a DVD and has not only the U.S. but almost all the countries and has photo's of the world coins also. I got it for it's ease of use, I am a numismatist not a computer programmer. I want a program that is easy to use, so I can spend less time using the program and more time collecting. Back when there was windows 95 there were few free ones but as they made windows more complicated, I saw them disappear. I hope someone out there has found one, but I have not. I really think you are out of luck on this one. Sorry for the bad news.
