No, it has a fathead motor. If the pipes came off a 1450(88 ci), they came off a fathead. 06-present have 96ci

Dude,
The answer to your question is no, the 08 night train does not have an evo motor. The pipes that you mentioned will not fit on the 08 harley motor. Although it may be possible to get them to bolt on, the bike will not run properly without some serious modifications. It may be possible get the O2 sensor bungs welded into the aftermarket pipes, but be careful to ensure that they are the correct distance from the exhaust port (too close and they will burn, too far and they will not read right) in order to read the oxygen level accuratley. WIthout an O2 reading you computer will attempt to correct the problem by dumping fuel (wide open injector dwell) or it may lean it out (closed injector dwell) which one is hard to guess until you try it because the program was not designed to run with the wrong (out of limits) parameters. It would not be a good idea to try this out unless you are a really good wrench with a four gas analizer and a power programer. Best bet would be to turn down the deal on these pipes and wait for you to get the new bike. You may like it just the way it is; or at least until the warranty expires. Once you start to modify, there is no telling how far you will go. If you just want it louder a quality set of slip on mufflers with less restrictions may be the answer. The real cons to slip ons is that you keep the factory header pipes with the O2 sensors in-tact and make the bike sound a bit better. Remember, even with slip ons, you will have to have the ECM re mapped for the modifications.
Good luck and keep riding
BB

NO All 2008 Big Twins have a TWIN Cam Eng. The Evo hasn't been in a production bike since 2000 I believe.

Harley Davidson does not put Evolution motors in the Nightrain anymore since 99 I think ? 2000 is the Twincam which is the 88ci/ 1450cc, the Evolution is like a 80ci/1340cc 08 model will have the 96ci/1584 all this can change with aftermarket engines and big bore kits all that kind of stuff

Harley has not made the Evo motor for YEARS! The 08 night train has the Twin Cam 96C engine. They only began making it in 06. If the pipes came off an evo, they will not fit your new bike. You will have to get some specially made for the new engine.

They refer to the 'Twin 88' as BlockHead, number one. If the pipes were on an 88, they will fit, but you may have problems with brackets. Night Train is a soft-tail design. The other thing you need to be aware of is that your '08 is EFI and has ports in the stock exhaust for Oxygen Sensors. Until the bugs are worked out with 'after-market' suppliers with programmable power modulers, you best bet is to leave it stock.
Sorry for the 'bad' news.
With the Federal EPA mandates, things are only going to get worse. Projection is that by the 2010 model, H-D will have gone to ALL liquid-cooled, no air-cooled.......period. They are all EFI now, no more Screaming Eagle exhaust, other then current supply (NOS).
Sources, such as 'PowerCommander', are having problems mapping for the newer scoots already. If you don't bypass all the systems correctly on the bike, it won't even start.
New motorcycles from H-D are going the way of old muscle car. Unless you have a 'degree', you won't be able to wrench on it (shade tree mechanic).

No. The 2008 models have the Twin Cam 96.
A 1450 would be a TC88, not an Evo.
Will they fit? Try it and see. None of the numbers match so far.

even if the pipes did fit you need O2 sensors, so quit being cheap you just bought an expensive bike.
