When I bleed the brakes do i need to have my car running? And do i actually have to go to every tire and bleed them or can i just bleed the front two tires and leave the back ones alone?

If your working on the front brakes all you have to do is bleed the front brakes and you don't have to have it running to do it, the front and rear are on seperate lines.

Year make and model? every manufacture has a different procedure for getting air out of the brakes ABS or regular.. Dealership mechanic can look it up or auto-zone parts store can look it up too. Bleed to clear fluid with out bubbles each wheel and change fluid every 4 years. Failure to follow procedure will make a low brake pedal.

With ABS they have to all be done and done in a certain order, you will have to google that for your particular make and model
