I've been curious about this because sites have claimed that Vamipres actually go through awakening process since young but they didn't say how. It's really amusing because...if that particular chlid didn't know he/she was a vampire, then they will forever be living as a human :)

It doesn't involve getting your blood drank, throat ripped out or possessed by demons, that's for sure.
It's really an individual experience... Some people are just born knowing they're different from other people, some people grow into it as they age and realize what they are, and others never Awaken at all.
I myself started Awakening around the age of five, when I began 'seeing' thing. I grew up lacking energy and feeling drained all the time, no matter what I did; medical tests and psychiatric evaluations came back average. When I was around twelve years old, I stumbled into the vampire subculture and I never looked back. Everything suddenly made -sense- to me, and when I began learning how to draw energy for other sources, I finally felt -good-. Now, it's just second nature, and I have relatively normal energy levels.
Awakening can cause increased ESP, odd dreams, sudden sickness, mood swings, blood cravings, light sensitivity, sudden attacks of fatigue, tendencies towards a nocturnal schedule, people around the person suddenly feeling drained, increased poltergeist activity... A huge variety of things. It all depends on the person.

Technically, vampires are- physically- human. What makes them different comes from inside, in the mind and soul. If a child is vampire and meant to Awaken, they're going to be living with constant cravings for energy/blood and likely some amount of ESP/psychic ability whether they realize what they are or not.

hell, you dont know what is going on with you, like puperty. but its totally different. sometimes it is just puperty but other times its the awakening process. thats not true if a child doesnt know that they are a vampire or going through the awakening, that they will forever live as a human, they will be a vampire, but they wont know it, but one day they will. the process is different for everyone, and it cant really be explained. just believe always

Mine was just recently.
I was born and I have known I am different from a very young age.
however I always craved blood and felt drained of all life.
about a year or so ago I found the vampire community and that has been my life since.

It is nothing like you see in the movies.. They don't wake up three days later and start searching for victims..... To be killed by a vampire is to be ripped apart, Your throat ripped out and you totally bleed out while that demon drinks your blood.. Now one or two things happen now either another blood thirsty demon takes over your body and re-animate your very dead body right away or it does not and if that is the case, when they find your body and bury it until it is time for your Resurrection... But if a demon takes over your body then your re-animated body start looking for other victims right away.... Not that is how it works and you either believe what I say or you don't end of story.... The rest is history................................

that band My Chemical Romance is part vampire and they're not living forever! they got plastic surgery to make them selves that way but they suck blood and they're automatically nocturnal and they live a midieval and victorian lifestyle!But really, theres no such thing as not knowing who you really are! maybe she might know she looks like one and doesn't no that she actually is one!Did you ever think of that?!*rolls eyes*
