I poked around in your questions and if the ones I looked at are fairly representative of all your questions, it probably means someone is just being a jerk and turning you in needlessly, just because they can.

Bear in mind that the notifications are computer generated, and the software has no way of knowing if the complaint is legitimate. Respond to the email by clicking on the link and have a human look at it, and they'll probably reinstate it. I've had 3 or 4 complaints and all the questions have been reinstated.

On a side note, I thought trolls were people that deliberately posted inflammatory messages hoping to get people to respond seriously, then sit back and watch the fireworks for their own amusement.

haven't asked any questions today but i have received violation notices in the past. you didn't do anything wrong. completely agree, it is getting way too out of hand. Y!A really needs to make some major changes. based on fact they rarely respond to any of the appeals, i highly doubt this change is going to happen anytime soon.

edit to add- ok, i just got a violation notice for the only question that i posted today. it was "are you a wild one". that's all.

All "Your fave" questions are going to be reported by users as chatting. It is not asking for facts or factual advice, just 100% opinion. Great to ask on Facebook or Twitter, so it doesn't work here. As to the Duncan question, go back through your list of questions and see if it was restored. If that is all you posted, you should win the appeal, although they can take months.

You have a stalker! Put your questions and answers on private. After I did that, I never received another violation notice. e
