i have a guy bff, i have known him since i was about 4yrs old and we get along great, but we dated for a month and it just tottally messed up our friendship, my friend said that guys and girls cant be best friends without falling for eachother but i think they can, what do you think?

I think they can be bffs without falling in love!
I mean half of my best friends are guys and we don't like each other and I had the same problem as you and we hated each other for a while and then we became bffs again!

Yes you can. I'm living proof. I have a best friend who's a male. We've been through high school and college and we love each other like brother and sister. We married different people. Plus he's a jerk and I'm a pain so we know we'll never fall in love or be anything more.

They can fall inlove but it depends if they work it out to be a long time relationship. Friendship is different from Relationship. In friendship, you can comfortable and unattached, but in relationship, there are many consequences that will test your feelings.
For me, I married my bestfriend but we encountered first many problems but still the both of you have to take more efforts for the relationship. I believe that friendship is the strong foundation of a relationship.

i truly dont know. because ive liked most of my guy friends during out friendship. but then again ive been friends with guys without falling for them too. the only reason why things havent gotten messed up because im a wimp and dont people when i like them.

Yes they can be friends. I have friends that have been friends ever since 4, and we are still the best of friends. That's just a guy thinking asbout a girl that he wanted to be "more than friends" with. Who is telling you that.

my best friend is a guy -- and we have known each other for 12 years -- and even lived together a few times -- there has never been any advances to take our friendship to "the next level" -- but then again him being gay may have something to do with it!

Well, if the guy is gay, or the girl is gay, you have no worries. It is possible of course to have a relationship, but people usually fall for the other because they know the other persons interests, hobbies, and such. This will naturally cause attraction

Yes they can be best friends. Usually it works best if they've grown up together or are both mature enough to understand that it's a frienship and deal with eachother platonically.

i have a guy friend that i am just friends with and we have been for 15 years. i have a boyfriend now of 4 years and we all get along great so yes, it certainly can happen

Boys and girls can definitely be best friends. I feel in love with one of my bff friends, but we tried it and it didn't work but we are still going to bff know matter what, and you should too with your friend. I hope you and your friend stay bff.
