I live in Detroit right on the Detroit/Dearborn border and the area is very heavily populated with Arabic’s. All day long Arabic men ride down the street in their cars on 22's (joke) with their music on blast playing T-Pain, T.I., Luda, Bone, you name and they are playing it. All they wear is G-Unit, Rocawear, and Sean John. It kind of pisses me off. Why don't they shop at American Eagle or that Abercrom-toast store? I guess it wouldn't bother so much but I am black and I just so happen to speak three languages (thanks mom:) and guess what one of the languages is? I walked into a store one day and I heard an Arabic man make an extremely negative comment about blacks and it has not been the only time. If Arabic’s think so badly about blacks than why listen to black artist, why would you wear cloths that a black person makes a profit from? My cousin thinks I am a on the verge of becoming a full blown racist. What do you think about this situation?

Do not be afraid of realizing some people are jerks, just do not fall into the trap that everyone from the same backround is the same way.

If you have to ask then you are a racist, but that is a part of of that we all have and that we fight to control.

You are reacting to a group of people that are taking over your neighborhood, so your reaction is a valid one. What you do with it is the question. Your hatred one way or the other won't make all the Arabs go away nor will your hatred improve their opinion of you, so it is best to try and let it go.

Whites felt the same when blacks started coming into their neighborhoods. Some of us adapted, some of us left, and others still can't handle it. Where do you think you and your neighbors will end up?

I don't think you are.................. This is because you're not showing hatred towards an entire race, just some people within that race.

I'm a white male who has lived in London. London is a city with a lot of white males in it who one day decided they all wanted to be black! They listen to black artists, where clothes that have always been sported by black lads and somehow, despite living in the South East corner of England all their lives, developed a Jamaican twinge to their accent! These boys annoy the hell out of me but they're a small minority.

Whilst I'm on the subject I despise the black boys that sell drugs, the Asian males that commit acts of terrorism and various African boys that commit violent crimes.............. I can't say I completely hate any race so, like you I dislike lots of people, but don't consider myself a racist!

You are what you think you are. That how racism starts though first the person who is of a different race offends you then another.Which forms a negative generalization.Your cousin is right that is if you don't do something about it,but you are doing something talking to the people who view your question.

You can't categorize all Arabics, just like you wouldn't like it if someone categorizes you because you are black. Take each person for what they are regardless of their race.
