Go here and run this http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

you really should have some anti virus software running. Here is a top notch free one http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Actually, I would just go ahead and install avast. During the install it will ask if you want to run a "boot time scan" tell it yes, install it, then reboot your computer when prompted to. It should get rid of everything.

If you have NTFS file system, like 2000 professional, you can load a second operating system on your hard drive. Next you load the antivirus on the new operating system. Next you scan the damaged operating system with the new operating system. When all the Trojan has been removed, you can safely drag and drop your Configuration files and documents from your old operating system into your new operating. When this is complete you can delete your old operating system.

Have him check System Restore and see if you can go back to a date before the problem arose.

Go to: Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Select "restore my system to an earlier date"
A calendar will appear. Go to the day or two days before the problem if you can and restore the system to one of those dates.

That will fix it if you can find an earlier restore point.

Hope this helps.
