Studies show that raising animals for food produces more greenhouse gasses than all vehicles and planes combined.
http://www.peta.org/feat-globalwarming.asp so why hasn't he mentioned being a vegetarian/vegan as a solution?

You make an excellent point.

Al Gore is scolding the rest of us for using too much fossil fuel material, yet Al Gore is one of the most wasteful people on this planet.

Al Gore lives in a huge mansion that uses more than ten times the amount of energy as a family of four.

Al Gore flies around in private jets that use more than 1,000 times the amount of fossil fuel for evey mile traveled than the most wasteful SUV.

It is ridiculous for Al Gore to criticize the rest of us us for using too much fossil fuel to go to work, come home from work and raise our families.

Al Gore is nothing more than a spoiled rich trust fund kid who inherited millions of dollars from his father who obtained those millions of dollars from big oil companies as bribes for favorable legislation.

It is time for this pretentious nitwit, Al Gore to get rid of his ridiculous ostentatious mansions and learn to live in a crappy 1,100 square foot, fifty year old house like the rest of us.

Nice rant, dude, but there's a problem (beyond the fact that you are ranting. 1) Beck isn't a retard. He deals with facts (something liberals hate. 2) Gore has pushed hard on a myth that hasn't been proven. 3) Gore has made hundreds of million on GW. 4) The whole world doesn't believe in GW. 5) Source for your claim that Beck stated Gore invented GW? 6) It has been proven that the earth is COOLING, not warming. 7) Global COOLING was supposedly a proven occurrence in the mid 1970s. It was a myth too!

One reason is because the fertilizers all farmers use are based in part on petroleum products. This is why it is such madness to piss away petroleum on something as wasteful as personally owned vehicles. Our great-grandchildren will curse us all for it.

This rush to grow corn to cash in on the "biodiesel" craze is also causing an increase in the use of petroleum products for fertilizers, fuel for sowing and reaping equipment, etc.

Municipal power generation should be converted over to all renewable energy (hydro, solar, wind, geothermal, tidal, whatever) by 2020. Personal vehicles, only electric or hydrogen, whichever is cheaper and cleaner. We have got to get serious about this, regardless of the Global Warming implications.

Once the oil is gone, its GONE. Thats it, no more coming. That means no more fertilizers, no more plastics, no more rubber products, no more grocery bags and hearing aids, no more DVDs and artificial hearts. You HAVE to get it through your heads that unless we start moving in that direction NOW, it's going to be even harder times in 10 years, in 50 years, etc.

THINK of how much money you'll have when energy is cheap, clean, and abundant.

Think how inexpensive products from around the world will be when cost of transportation isn't an issue.

Think how clean the air will smell when we aren't dumping 750 trillion metric tons of soot and hydrocarbons into the air we breathe (until it rains, of course, then it's in our water supply and soil). Do you think your kids would like to grow up in a world which doesn't need to broadcast the "Particulates" and "Bad Ozone" reports each evening? I want the brown cloud which covers Phoenix and most of the Valley of the Sun GONE.

Right now, the US Government gets about 42 cents on every gallon of gas you buy in the US. It is in their best interest to keep you dependent on oil, foreign or not. We as Americans need to reclaim our birthright of independence

What about ANY of that makes you so afraid?

Watching Glenn Beck again????

I really don't care if he is a vegetarian or not... and if he wants to lecture about the environment then that's cool with me... I'm not big on the environment but seems that some people are and I am okay with that... BTW, why does it bother you so much that Al Gore cares about the environment? How does it hurt you? Just wondering.

Seriously, I wonder why people are so upset that he talks about global warming... it is just such a benign issue, I mean I understand that there is disagreement but why is this issue so politicized.... I hope you answer my question (or someone).

BTW, I am not a Al Gore fan.

It is not healthy for Humans to be Vegetarians. We do not need a lot of meat, but our bodies do not need meat. Never mind that cutting CO2 outputs from cars solves more then one problem. It will cut down on pollutants. It will also make car manufactures make cars with better MPG. Helping our hole oil issue. You have to think. If every car was made to get at least 45 MPG we would cut our oil Dependence by 75% completely eliminating our need for Middle east oil. You might not like Al Gore, but this is a good cause that will make this country a better place...

I've used this answer before on my thoughts about Gore

I’ve NEVER liked Gore and I’m a Liberal.

I really doubt hes on the save the planet crusade because he believes in it. Anyone who recalls his last bid for office remember when he had a creek flooded, during a drought, just so he could have a photo op of him in a canoe. Another thing to point out, ask anyone who lives near Bristol TN, try taking a deep whiff and tell them what company you smell. Eastman Kodak has been fined sooooo many times for polluting the local water its become a joke. If Gore IS what he says he is why hasn’t he done a better job in his home state...

Gore if you are reeding this do us all a favor, put on that rice paper t-shirt that says I’m a double dealing shoot from the hip fool, find a nice big tree to climb and hug....and then SHUT UP

You know what? I don't f**king know, but how the f**k would it change YOUR mind if he did?

QUESTION: Is global warming a problem, or is it not a problem?

QUESTION: Do you live on this earth, or do you not live on this earth?

QUESTION: How is it that you find it so f**king offensive to think that maybe, just maybe, your poor, pathetic, pitiful existence on this earth might be richer, more fulfilling, and more admirable if you actually gave a shtt?

Because the animals would still be here.

The question is nonsense. No go out to your unnecessary SUV and complain about what kind of an idiot I am.
