I'm bi sexual, so I guess it's a bit different for me, but I would stay with them♥

Good question. If you mean that they told you that they had a sex change before they met you, then it would probably be an easier transition. To me, it'd be a total non-issue: what's in the past is in the past, you know? If you mean that they have a sex change while they're with you, I'd be able to adjust to that as well because I'm bisexual. To be honest, it would still be difficult, though. When I fall in love with a boy, I get used to their identity as a boy. Same goes for girls. You love somebody for their soul, though. It'd be an adjustment to reassign his/her new identity in your mind, but it's one I'd go through if I loved somebody.

But, I disagree with everyone saying it's a betrayal of trust. Realizing that you don't fit perfectly into the gender binary, or that your body is not on the side of the gender binary your mind is, is a very scary thing. It's still relatively taboo, so I'd understand if my lover didn't speak up about it. I'd be happy for them that they had come to a point in their lives where they could be open about it, and that they trusted me enough to tell me what was going on. <3

Wow .. I mean .. wow.

Hmm.. I don't think so, but then I don't really know.
I can't imagine that someone would keep that from me, but who knows.

If it's serious that means you've gotten past the initial rush of infatuation and still decided that this is someone you want to spend your time with, so I'm not sure why that would change. But then, how well could you know someone who would keep something this important from you? I mean .. gender and sexual identity are at the root of who we are as people. It's not like buying a new shirt ..

I would probably break up with them, because I would want to have children one day, and things won't be the same, they may be the same on the inside, but not on the outside, but I would hope to remain friends with them, because they were obviously a good person for me to get serious with them in the first place, but then again thinking about it, I would want to know what was it that I wasn't doing to make them want to get a sex change if they were becoming serious with me

I can't say for sure if I would leave them for good, but I would definitely want to separate & have some time apart. I think that it's in that category of things you need to tell someone before it gets serious ... like I have a kid(s), an ex-spouse, another boy/girl-friend (lol), etc.

Unfortunately, I would have to leave my boyfriend if he told me that had a sex change. We'll still be friends, but I just cannot be with a man who was once a female.

In my advanced age of 37, I have realized that the only thing that matters is the heart of a person. Everything else can be dealt with.

I asked a similiar question a while back, and yes I would leave the person no matter how serious it was, its just plain gross

Absolutely. It's deceit. If someone thinks it's okay to lie to me, even by omission, then I can't trust this person because it makes them a liar. I have no room for liars in my life because they'll just end up hurting me.
