Studious is a nice compliment I'm familiar with. Basically, only have to say a few sentences, for others to realize that. A person can be studious into old age. In fact, has benefits to the brain.

Yeah, somewhat. I mean it's not like hearing "you're beautiful" but it's not like hearing your a jerk either. So yeah, I would say it's not a bad thing at all!
