It seems that today. Republicans aren't republicans and democrats are Giant sissies with no spine to stand up for something. Republicans are suppose to stand for very little government involvement and a free market. However, it seems with the NSA wire tapping and un-bided contracts for Halliburton they have gone away from their core values. Democrats are suppose to be more for the people, but with a majority control in the house and congress they haven't done a freaking thing for the people. They are more interested in attacking Republicans. Not that Bush and Cheney haven't done some inappropriate things that I feel they should be held accountable for. I would just like to see Democrats focus on more then just attacking Republicans. The question is what do "we the people do" Unless your dirt poor and on welfare or rich making more 250k plus a year. neither party does anything for you. The middle class seems to be ignored. Will any of the candidates change any of this?

One good point is what happened with the immigration bill. People by the millions called in the kill it, and it was killed. That shows the power of the people, but only if the people choose to involve themselves. Is that the only answer..? Do we have to organize in large masses ever time there is a decision to be made. Can we longer trust our elected officials with anything anymore..

You make a good point and the road we are headed down is not of Bush'e creating, nor Clintons. The seeds were sown decades ago in 67' and the 6 day war. in 73, under Carter and the Shah and in 79. The writing is on the table and has been for a long time. There is a hard rain coming and it won't end soon and it won't be pretty., but a reckoning is on the way and the final straw will be the acquisition and use of some sort of nuke by the Islamo facsists and the reaction of the west. It's coming, trust me.

dude did you miss the fact that the people and talk radio and the blogs killed the immigration bill! were you asleep at the wheel, did you participate? that was what I call a sea change that you probably missed.it means that if people participate they can actually wake up the assholes in washington and change things.nothing will be the same after that one and the politicians know it.Fred Thompson in 08!

All of the politicians are crooks. We have to pick the lesser of two evils. It's a sad state of affairs that a country as great as we are suppose to be can't find great people to run the country.

It may be the choice of going to hell in the Concord or a stage coach.... One will still eventually get there....maybe we really need a third choice.

Some of us wear dentures. So it's not much of a choice. I have experienced both.
