i think so. its not just the fact that he is black. right now america is at a turning point. with bush out if office we can become that great nation that we once was. its time for something diffrent

America is ready for a Black president. I don't know if Barack Obama is the one we're ready for. We would vote for a man or woman whose views we agree with and who has the integrity and leadership to run the most powerful country on Earth through difficult times. I hope we're all smart enough to vote for someone for their character and abilities, not for their race or gender.

And for the people who keep saying stuff about skin color! Bottom line I don't care what the SKIN color is! No! It's the ethnic and cultural intelligence and behavior that comes with the person for being that.

Hey it's time for some sort of change in this country as things aren't very good the way they are now. Race and all that other stuff doesn't matter to me.

I don't care what color the person is,,,,I am ready for a leader to take over the country and make some changes for the better.
It can be a green female with 3 eyes for all I care. Its the mind and soul that counts.

I don't know about the rest of America, but I'm ready for a black or green or purple president if she/he can get us out of Iraq and get our country back on track.
Color matters not to me.

I could really care less whether it is a man or woman, black or white. I just think it would be strange to have a president who's first name rhymes with "Iraq" and their last name with "Osama."

Obama had to answer this question and I remember him saying that I don't want people to vote for me because of my skin color or not vote for me for that matter. I want people to vote for me...for my policies...my beliefs. A president shouldn't be voted because of what race he is or what party he's from but what his policies are about.
