I know it's coasters are amazing and I definitly want to go there again, especially since I was around 10 years old the last time i went. but, other than the roller coasters, from what I've seen, there really arn't a ton of great thrill rides or regular rides that arn't coasters. i've been going to Dorney Park almost every summer and in my opinion, the rides are awesome. Sure, some of the coasters arn't as great as the ones at Great Adventure, but they have a ton of thrill rides. I was just wondering if Great Adventure had some good thrill rides. I know they took some out, but if anyone could list the types rides besides coasters that are at Great Adventure, it wouldbe great. I was planning to go there, but I want to go on other rides besides roller coasters. Thank you so much for your help!

I went there yesterday and there werent many lines so I went on almost every roller coaster. But there were these rides:

-Congo Rapids
( gets you WET),
The ride where the swings so up higher,
-Fantasy Fling
( rotating ride that lifts you up towards the sky),
-Houdini's Great Escape
( an illusion where youre going upside down, but has nothing to do with TV screens)
-Movietown Water Effect
( also gets you wet)
- Bucaneer
( its a ship that swings back and forth like a pendulum)
- & the other classic rides (Ferris Wheel, Bumper Cars, etc)

I just got back from Great Adventure recently, and I personally loved it! Not to mention that I never waited more than 20 minutes for a ride, but I think that was because of fourth of July week. Anyway, there is of course Kingda Ka, which is the tallest and fastest roller coaster at 45 stories and 128 mph. Then there is El Toro, which was the second tallest wooden coaster in the country and third tallest wooden one overall in 2006 ( I don't know if it still is). I loved Medusa, Nitro, Batman, (the Chiller was closed so I don't know about that one,) and the Great American Scream Machine. Rolling Thunder was okay, but definitely not a real thrill. Anyway, I loved Superman the Ultimate Flight because it tilts you so that you lay down, and I thought that was a real thrill. I thought the park was very clean, and I enjoyed the non-coaster rides as well (including Twister). I hope this helps! Sorry this is so long. I definitely recommend that you go. Have fun!

i would say besides coasters not much at all for thrill rides. it is really good for kids 48" and taller though lots of their ride. as far as the coasters you would probably have to buy a flash pass as it takes way to long to get on them last year when i went there was an average wait of 1:45 per ride makes for a long day

Six Flags Great Adventure is super known as the holy meet-up spot for all thrill seekers and they go seek for the biggest thrills out at the park. The biggest thrill ride is Kingda Ka and it goes soar up to 456 feet high at the speed of 128 mph. It looks like those who have ever gotten the ride says 'It's totally out of control and I have no idea what occured on me, because of its great impact.'

It is a really great park for teens, and parents like it because it is clean and well managed. The rides are the best in the country, and the food was even featured on a recent Discovery Channel special.

It is a definite Y E S.
