I had a new vinyl kitchen put in 8 months ago and I Evicted the tenant. There is a square in the middle where the tenant has damaged the vinyl floor. It is about a foot long & a foot wide in the middle of the kitchen floor. Is there anything I can do to make this look better with out having to replace the whole floor. The area has deep scratches in it.

if you have some extra vinyl left from the job it would be an easy fix for the person who installed your vinyl...not sure you want to pay that service call but what needs to happen is for someone to take a framing square and lay the scrap peice of vinyl over the old peice and align it up perfect...take the square and double cut through both peices being sure to cut the grout line and also use tape to keep them in place....take them both up and take small putty knife to take the backing of the old off......
put the new in place with glue then put seam sealer on the eges....usually a pro will do it so well you want even notice the difference.........

Cut out the damaged area in a square and adjust the widthe to make it in the center of the floor, and replace with the stick on vinyl tiles. It'll fix your problem, plus make a nice little design in the middle of yer kitchen floor.

well what the other guy said is a good answer
or an alternative to replacing it, is there are these vinyl tiles that just stick right on to the floor, and you can do it yourself, this would be cheaper than replacing it with a new vinyl floor, its what they use on home makeover shows and such

If it is just scratches you may try to use a high quality acrylic latex floor wax (e.g. Armstrong Shine Keeper). It will help out a lot.

If it is cut through to the wood floor you would have to replace it.
