For example, if a ship is going down then the women and children get in the lifeboats first. Another example would be if a family is going out to eat, the women are supposed to order first and then the men. I have always believed in this concept because it shows women that you are thinking about them and/or that you really care for their welfare.

Yes, without doubt. Men are supposed to surrender their lives, if necessary, to protect women and children. I know these days maybe it's an old fashioned concept, but it's a good 1 anyway.
How can a 5', 120 lb. woman defend herself from a 6'2", 230 lb. man other than with a firearm?
It may surprise some, but in Virginia up until, I think early 20th century it was actually the law for men to be armed, even in church!

I believe in children first because they are the future of the world but I think the men and women should go together.

Yes, it is only natural. Anyone who disagrees is not a decent human being. Our women and children are valued highly, and should always be valued highly. Even if a group of men perish, there will always be more to replace us; it is far more difficult to replace women and children. Our society, today, doesn't seem to reflect that. Can you imagine if a group of "gangsta" rappers were on a sinking ship with women and children? What do you think would really happen?

Life boat I'll go for children first. Don't care who gets to order first.
After children, think life and death situations should either go be rotation or something like drawing lots.

while that is sweet that you believe in that, i think it only goes so far.the kids i can understand but what makes my life more valuable than yours? i guess i think that women should watch out for the men in their lives as much as the guys look out for them.

Always children first but in the matter of men or women first- I'm sorry but they're equal so it shouldn't matter- even in a sinking boat. In the matter of parents- I think it should be the better parent first.

no. i mean i can understand the children first and if there is a baby of course its mother but women? since when do we need to be taken care of? we can do that perfectly fine on our own. its the men that need saving. =)
