I was a geisha last year and i made the costume my self..........it was really easy
pick a very femanine fabric, maybe a burgandy or blue

ive broken it down by steps the only thing that has alot of steps is the shirt but seriously it is really simple

you'll have to cut
a skirt ( like wrap you wear to the beach)
a shirt ( an oversized t-shirt with an open front)
and a belt ( about a foot wide)

skirt
1. a large square that goes from waist to floor and can wrap around your waist....cut a large square and glue the edges, it should look like a blanket

shirt
1. fold the fabric in half and lay fabric out and place a long sleeve shirt over the fabric to give you a pattern
2.with a peice of chalk out line the shirt but make the sleevs very wide (from the top of the arm to the bottom arm NOT from shoulder to hand the shoulder to hand length should be the same as the long sleeve shirt)
3. once you've outlined you shirt remove the long sleeve shirt and and cut out the pattern (you should have two peices)
4. decide which peice will be the front of your shirt and cut it in half from bottom to top (this will be the opening like the front of a jacket)
5.trun the two peices so the outside faces eachother and glue the edges together creating a seam (except the opening for the neck and hands)
6.once youve glued the seams together you should be able to turn it inside out and be able to put it on like a jacket
7. the front of the shirt has the opening glue the seams to prevent fraying like you did on the skirt
your shirt is done

belt
1. cut a long rectangle long enough that it can wrap around your waist and be knotted at your back
2.glue the seams like you did on the skirt

you wrap the skirt around your waste and secure it with a safety pin put the shirt on like you would a jacket and wrap the belt around your waste to hide where the shirt and skirt meet

now your hair needs to be pulled in a bun at the top of your head and colored black (that spray on stuff you find at a party store) use a very light face powder to color your face white a little red lipstick and black liner on your eyebrows
i won a contest in my neihborhood for prettiest costume

you can add things like hair picks with beads on them little flowers to your bun
and you wear white stockings and sandals

if you have any more questions you can e-mail me at sab20052005@yahoo.com

Be t.A.T.u.

All you have to do is dress up in a Catholic School Uniform. My friend and I were them last year for halloween since we already went to a catholic school we wore those skirts.

But abercrombie has really cute skirts like that, which are short and wear leggings underneath with mary jane shoes, a white abercrombie button down shirt, open up some buttons roll up the sleeve, tucked or untucked, wet-ish hair and a tie. Lucky for us, at the Halloween party we were at, it was outside and was raining, like in their music video.

If you want to see that video, go to a video search engine and type in

"All The Things She Said"

or

"Ya Soshla S Uma"

I hope this helps!

this is a few suggestions: bo-peep a fairy a marionette doll (with the purple circle cheeks, curled hair, a flouncy get dressed, bright eyelashes and strings hooked up of path) a fb/myspace web page (use cardboard) any individual from a detailed time interval 50s,60s,70s,80s(very amusing!) or from medieval/rennaissance mainly recognized fictional charachter or a fairytale individual-Rapunzel, and so on. This one is lovely tacky however certainly one of you would string small ceral bins on a work of rope then stick forks through the bins and put on it round your neck (accordingly THE CEREAL Killer)get it?? Yeah that one maybe to "homosexual" for you (considering the fact that 13yr olds who do matching costumes are) however its only a concept.

Did you know we're in July? By the way you can be a barbie doll or dress up like a model. My friend dressed up like a model for halloween.

Pick your favorite anime character (if you like anime). The costumes will be cute and comfortable, not very hard to make or to find the parts to and anime is fun and popular.

Last time a checked it was July. But maybe my calender is a few months off. I'll fix that later. Be a dead Barbie doll. It would be really funny if your boyfriend (if you have one) would be Ken. LOL I know I'm weird. But it was just a thought.
