I am with this guy that I had a previos relationship with...we ended it seven months ago. We've been intimate a few times since then but lately he has been asking me over pretty much every night and when I get ready to leave he gets sad and asks me to stay. Well last night I tried to discuss things with him a little and see what he was thinking about us and he just looked me in the eyes and said I wish things could be different and I asked how and he said "it doesn't matter because they can't be" to give a little insight we are divorced and I feel like we had just gotten married too soon, we are both in our early twenties and I think we both still have a lot of growing up to do. But I feel like now he is acting like he wants me back in the girlfriend capacity but he won't let himself. Am I wrong?

How many times will you be asking this today? He is using you until something better comes along.

it doesn't matter what he says or what you think he feels. if a man is telling you things cant be different (cant/wont commit), believe him. action is the only thing that matters and i don't believe men let anything stand in the way of the things they truly want. a perfect example is a married man cheating- he doesn't let a little thing like marriage stop him, right? think girl! if you feel used, stupid, or like you wasted your time after being intimate, leave it alone. and stop getting out of your bed to go serve it on a silver platter. if he calls only at night, wakes you up to get it, never takes you out before, its a booty call.

You are not wrong. Find out why you "have no future" with him yet he wants you for sex. It seems that he wants his past marriage with you at least part-time. If you are not going to date him and by that I mean go places with him other than play house and go to bed, then get out. This is not healthy. While you are wasting your time with him, you could be passing up dating a guy that will love and respect you. You deserve better.

Honey,

He's getting the cream without paying for the cow.

OK, that was old-fashioned and crass. But, if he wants you, he needs to commit. Think about what you could be missing by sticking with him when you are divorced!!

Sounds like you got it right. Just enjoy each others company when you can, continue to grow as individuals and see where it goes.

ok. first of all. this is not DEFINATELY a booty call situation. If it were me, I would tell him that either he is going to have to tell me why they can't be different, or I'm gonna have to cut all ties. That should pull the answer out of him. I would not go on not knowing forever. That's not fair to you or him.

He probably is missing you. Keep having fun & enjoy each other. Hopefully you two can work out something more.

Just because you spend the night it doesn't mean you're not still a booty call.
