I don't..because we think different about things...
About divorce I think it's easier, if s/he is not your best friend because at the time of the hearing, or court, you won't scream or tell everybody your "dirty laundry"..even though they do..but at least you know its not everything..

My husband is my best friend. We can talk about any and everything and are very open in our relationship. Sometimes all you really need is a friend, and I think it helps when you are fighting, because you know that you can share your true feelings with your spouse, if you are best friends. As far as it hurting you in the event of a divorce, I don't see how. Unless, you part on bad terms, then why can't you remain friends.

My spouse is my best friend. We will never divorce, it took way too long to find such a creation. Complete honesty and being able to talk is the key to being best friends. When one shuts down the bridge of communication or feels the need to hide certain events, things...then you are no longer friends.

My husband is my best friend...Why would there be a divorce? I've always told my sons to make sure they are friends with their intended partner. Sex is not always going to get you over the rough spots...friendship will.

Not having your spouse as your best friend is in the top 3 for reasons for divorce. For example: "He never talks to me" "She never tells me what she wants, she just expects me to read her mind" Get it?
