I rest my case. You have probably been listening to Dad too much, and haven't learned to make up your own mind yet.
That, my young friend, is half of the problem with our politics today--too many people listening to too many others and not learning the issues themselves.
I highly encourage you to study so you will be an informed voter when you are old enough.

Its good that you are showing an interest in politics. Continue to be involved and when you are older you will be a much more informed voter. You can get involved in campaigning and other things for candidates if your parents will let you.
For why you cannot vote, its because you might be intelligent and beyond you years, but your brain has not finished developing and children are more likely to go along with peer pressure or what their parents say. I am sure you think "Clinton stinks" and that you are republican mainly because of your parents. People need to be mature and be able to grasp the gravity of what electing people and voting laws will mean... teens tend to not think about consequences, nor do they care much about politics.

How do you know Clinton Stinks? You must have been 5 when he was in office. Can you tell me why he was so bad?
Don't listen to Mommy and Daddy. Republicans are selfish little turds, honestly, you don't want to play with that party.
Mr. George Bush lied to America to take our country to war and won't withdraw from the war even though it was on false pretenses. Bush is responsible for all those soldiers and Iraqi citizens dying.

Why does Clinton stink? What is it about her (I am assuming you mean Hillary) you don't like? Is it stuff that you know from your experience, or stuff that people have told you to think?
Personally I think the only reason children can't vote is because they don't pay taxes. I think some children can be just as informed (or uninformed) about political issues as many other adult voters.

Do you know precisely WHY you think Clinton stinks? What her ideals are? Do you even know WHY you're republican?
Wait until you're older and you can form your own opinions not just what your parents said.

That doesn't really mean anything in the grand scheme of things. We already have too many adults that can't think but still vote. Maybe we should have a current events quiz before allowing anybody to vote. In that case, I think we could drop the voting age to 15 or so.

You are way too young to even know what the issues are. Stopped listening to Mommy and Daddy and start doing some reading so you can make a smart decision when you reach 18yo.

Haha. You're a straight shooter. I like that. I wish you could vote too but you have to wait until you are 18 just like the rest of us had to.
Sorry kid, that's just the way it goes!

You know what you learned at home. Study hard go to college and grow up, then if you still feel strongly about running for President you can do that, this is America.

hey man, don't listen to those Hillary-lovers, you asked a great question. However, children can't vote because they don't pay taxes, and because it's widely accepted that kids can't make wise decisions. However, there are plenty of adults who can't spell "Giuliani", but will vote for him. By the way, when you get into high school, you will see that lots of teenagers are liberal, hope you can stick to your republicanism!!
