Have been told it could possibly be the EGR Valve and also Cataletic converter. EGR Valve has been messed up for a while and we were told to take it off and clean the valves we did that and it started doing it afterwards. WE unplugged the EGR valve and went down the road and it didn't jerk couldthe EGR Valve make it jerk? Also a real bad gas smell comes in the car when it jolts real bad. Doesn't start until it gets warm.

I have already had it checked on computer and all the computer is showing is the EGR Valve. But we know that it is not what is causing the jerking cause we unplugged it and it still did it.

If your car isn't jerking when you take the EGR valve off, the you need to get a new one!

They are VERY expensive. I just ordered a new one and it's $200.00.

This valve can be cleaned. It sounds to me like it's stuck closed.

Spray it thoroughly with carb cleaner then get a brush and attempt to clean all of the residue off of it. You can also blow air into it with an air compressor.

Yes, you can take it off. But, if you get caught by law enforcement, that is a big fine. This is part of your emissions system for smog control.

Yeah, I'd check the egr valve. A lot of people just take it completely off, and plug the hoses. Hard to get away with these days, though, with strict inspections.

YOU SHOULD GET THE VEHICLES COMPUTER SCANNED AND CHECK FOR ANY PROBLEMS AS WELL AS CODES AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM TRULY IS.

TRY FINDING AN INDEPENDENT SHOP INSTEAD OF THE DEALER OR A CHAIN STORE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE OVERALL MORE PLEASED WITH THE FINDINGS AND THE SERVICE.
