I've been a pessimist all my life and I still am one today:). It's tough to look at things positively when you that there is always a chance that things may not go the way you want. I try to remember that one point in life everything ends, your problems, tragedies, and such. I try anticipating to those "endings" and hopefully things will be brighter tommorrow. I also try remembering that God never gives you more than you can cope with. I think it's irrefutable that there is always gonna be a time in life, where the worst experience comes knocking on your door. But I believe that everyone's life is built that way. There is gonna be that "time" to much dismay, but with a little faith and trust in God, there is a solution. I try to remember that happiness in this world is replete with pain and adversities.

I can't be happy. But I can feel joy in my heart. Yes, happiness and joy are two different things.
I have been going through proverbial hell for many years now, and it has been very hard to keep happy for very long.
But I feel joyful because I know very well It could be a lot worse.
I have it better than so many people on this planet that I cannot help but be thankful, and joyful for what I do have, rather than focus on what I don't have - It's better than dwelling on how sad I've been.
If your going through a tough time, I feel for you. I hope it gets better for you.

I believe what you think about expands. If you think positively, things will become more positive in your life. If you walk around with a dark cloud over your head, things will seem dark and cloudy all the time.

Keep a positive outlook, there are always things that are to be learned, experiences to grow from. When we stop growing we die. You should always learn from everything in your life, and never regret your experiences, just don't repeat the mistakes you make...use them as building blocks for your future. There are always people out there who are worse off then you are. If you are healthy, there are people who are sick. If you are sick, there are people who are sicker. If you are poor, there are people who are poorer. You just need to appreciate what you have and think positively. Read positive material. Practice meditation. Look around you at the beauty in the world. Look at a flower, the sun, the moon, the sky, a bird, nature. It is a wonderful place. There are fantastic things out there. Wonderous things. Peace be with you.

Well... if you believe in fate or God, then you can think positively by remembering that tough times pass and that they will build your character and help you to become a more profound individual. If you do not believe these things, then try to remember that human experience often comes in waves as does human emotion and with time all circumstances change. I hope you find some solace in your troubles
