HELL YES!!!!!! No one can replace Layne. I do wish they would have gotten Phil Anselmo to sing for them instead of Duvall though. I thought he did a hell of a job singing Would for the Rock Honors.

Yes. There was a lot of great bands coming out of that area at that time but Nirvana seemed to overshadow all of them. Alice in Chains had some great harmonizing but I think their music was a little heavier than all the other bands and that's also why they didn't get the recognition they deserved. Who knows? I thought they were great. "Heaven beside you" is like their best song!

original alice set superb pearl jam are just as good if not better its hard to say loose the original singers and the bands are never the same though

Maybe they should have just gone their separate ways, like Nirvana. I mean, let's face it, most AIC fans won't like the new guy so why do they keep going? They must love their fans too much....i hope.

Dirt was a killer album, all the way from Them Bones, to Would...
not that Facelift, or the self-titled album were that bad

"dirt" rules!!! one of the greatest rock/metal/grunge albums ever! every song is good...it has it's 'HIGHS" and "lows"...i like they're other albums too, but dirt was their best effort.
