its more safe to have someone escort you to the bathroom not that you are incapable of going yourself. I'm 16 and i wouldn't mind having my mom, sister or friend go to the bathroom with me. It makes me feel better that if there was a crazy man near the bathroom i would have company to keep me safe.

She probably had to go too. And probably wanted to do some girl talk in the bathroom. That's what my mom and I do. Give your mom a break.

depends on the type of place you're at. going to a restroom alone in the wrong kind of place can result in rape. even if you're at a perfectly respectable restaurant, all of the men at that restaurant aren't.

i do see your point, i've 15 myself, but i've also been in enough bad situations with threatening men to see her point.

I agree, you're old enough to go to the restroom by yourself. Oh well, your mom cares about you, she's just being protective.

We are just being over protective, we don't want anything to happen to our children; and you have to admit there are a lot of creeps out there. Plus, she may have had to go to.

No, it's not you. All parents do that they're worried about perverts and kidnappers.
