I don't mind helping other countries out if all of us here in America are living comfortably, but such is not the case.

I agree with you that we should fix our problems in America before trying to solve other countries problems.

It is one thing to be on guard for terrorist attacks against the US, but it is quite another to finance decades of occupation in a foreign country and then also finance the country's entire reconstruction.

With an over 8 trillion dollar debt, I'm not sure we should be financing much of anything right now.

Can we have people in Washington who are a little more responsible? Or is that too much to ask...

I care about the other countries but yes I'm very well feed up with America trying to solve every other countries battles. There's too many struggles at home to be focusing on other countries problems and after all charity should start at home and then spread abroad but America seems to spend too much time spreading abroad and blinding itself to the problems in it's own boarders leaving it's people homeless hungry and distraught. Sending our precious people over sees to die for a cause that really isn't about us causing economy to breach it fiances and weaken it's people's spirit and damping their hope

Sounds good, except: a planet going more insane everyday and no police?, sounds like an interesting combination. Does the statement "get under the table and fold your arms over your head" mean anything to you? because if it doesn't, it should.

That would be a good start. It is a little hypocritical of you to point out all that's wrong with other countries when you don't even care to address your own.

You weren't exactly chosen to be the "World Police", you just, sort of, took it upon yourselves.
Just as long as you stay out of my country I'll have nothing to add to that.

Problem with that is when we start ignoring the rest of the world it comes back to bite us. Don't need anymore Pearl harbors or 9-11s.

In case you're unaware of it, things have changed in the last 50 years. What people do in other parts of the world can now affect us directly and sometimes gravely, where as it couldn't back then. Wake up before it's too late!

Good question! Sure -- if we're the World Police, then we're enforcing the World Laws, right? And we're not Americans, we're World Citizens -- so we don't have the rights of Americans, the best set (at least on paper) ever written!

Yeah. Let's turn everything over to the Russians and the Chinese. We can trust them, right?
